アルバム Paul Simonのリマスター盤CDにダンカンの歌のデモ・バージョンがボーナス・トラックとして収録されています。この歌のデモは1970年代にBBCのラジオ番組を日本で放送したものを聴いたことがありました。リマスター盤のCDはさらに歌詞がふえています。
最近、興味を持ったので、歌詞を検索してみると、Bodoのサイトの掲示板に欧州のファンが聞き取ったものが2種あり、それと、YouTubeでカバーしている人のボーカルを参考に自分なりに聞き取った（数語ですが）ものを、お見せします。
歌ってみると言葉がリズムに乗らず、難しいです。さすが未完成。
でも驚くのは、歌われている不況、失業とベトナム戦争の影です。最終版のDuncanとは全く違った歌詞となっています。できたメロディに言葉をあてはめていく苦労があったのでしょうか？
（Peace Like a Riverの未完成録音があったら、聴いてみたいと思いますね。）
