以前ロイ・ハリーのインタビュー訳をやっている時、なんとなくSOSのオーバーダビングはボブ・ディランの「Highway 61 Revisited」レコーディングの後、8月6日以降が自然かなー、と考えていました。

しかしミックスダウンが7月26日ということは、7月25日のニューポート・フォークフェスティバルに出演のためボブのレコーディングが中断している間にSOSの追加レコーディングが行われたということでしょうか。

「Highway 61 Revisited」とSOSはレコーディングに関しては両方ロイ・ハリーが担当してますから、SOSの追加レコーディングは、ロイと799 7thAvenueスタジオがあいていてボブ・ディランが不在の7月25日にごく近い数日間、ということになりますね。

トム・ウィルソンらによるフォーク・ロック路線の制作、今まで考えていた以上に早い、というか同時並行的にやっていたのですね。
