You Tubeの下記サイトに映像がアップされている。
この映像は私も以前から持っていたが、これだけ鮮明な映像を見るのは初めてだ。
1966年のTV出演時らしいのだが詳細は不明。

プロデュ－サ－：ジョン・サイモンの話

コロムビアに入社した頃、初めは誰も引き受けないような仕事を任されていた。そんなある日、私のオフィスに入ってきた男が、自分はナット・ワイスだと名乗り、ビ－トルズのマネ－ジャ－であるブライアン・エプスタインの知り合いだと言った。彼が持参したテ－プ、他では認められなかったらしいそのテ－プ、私はそれが気に入ったのでその曲と、あと何曲かを録音した。
曲名は＜レッド・ラバ－・ボ－ル＞。
グル－プ名はザ・サ-クルだ。その曲は全米2位というビッグ・ヒットになった。

元々彼らには、ロンデルズというグル－プ名があった。それを気に入らなかったブライアンが新しい名前を付けようとしたのである。それでセッションの時、スタジオで新しい名前が授けられるというので、みんな楽しみにしていた。そしてブラインが1枚の紙に名前を書き入れグル－プの連中に見せたのだが
＜なんてヒドイ名だ！！＞
と思ったそうだ。しかし、あのブライアン・エプスタインが考えたものだったため結局誰も口に出せず彼らはそのまま、ザ・サ－クルとしてデビュ－することになったのである。
